The Music Teaching Project was incorporated as a District of Columbia non-profit organization in 2006 and is tax-exempt under the Internal Revenue Service code.

The heart of The Music Teaching Project are its teachers: professional musicians from the area with experience as instructors and mentors.

(We will be posting bios shortly before lessons begin in the spring/fall.)

Our founder and executive director, Michael Anthony Bowie, is a composer and internationally-known bassist who has been teaching children about music for many years.
